HEY IM JUST WONDERING IF ANY ONE HERE HAS A 12SECOND COMMODORE WITH A TRIMATIC 3SP JUST WONDERING WOT TOP SPEED I GOT AND WOT DIFF RATIOS U HAVE?, CUZ IM TRYING 2 GET THE RIGHT ONES. WOT DIFF RATIOS DO U ALL HAVE THO?

MAN DONT LIE U KNOW UVE SEEN HOLDENS DO VERRY QUICK TIMES, I NO IVE SEEN 8S ON A RB30 VL TURBO! AND THE SAME WIF A 308 IN A UTE! AND I DONT GO 2 THE DRAGS MUCH SO THERES PROB QUICKER!

Ive got a 4.11 in my VH race car but it revs out too quickly so maybe something like 3.9 would be good

dude it think most drag racers set up their diffs so that they are at peak revs just b4 they cross the line it depends on how high your engine can rev etc... i reckomend talking to someone who knows what he's talking about say another drag racer or possibly your local mechanic / performance shop they would know a fuckload more than these wankers who just bag out commo's

well i dunno my car runs 13s now and i got 3:25 gears and it peaks out at like 240 or sumfin, 3sp auto.

thats better now, isn't it. maybe try a slightly higher ratio, like 3.75 or 3.9, see what happens. Your mph will go down, time may go up. If I remember correctly (which I most likely dont) a friend of mine who's heavily into drags said the ultimate 100mph pass was in the mid 12 second bracket.

Fiddy mate, just out of interest is that with or without the happy gas? Because you should also take that in to account, because you dont really want you diff set up for the N20, because your not always going to use that. Just a thought.



And to all the tools, I think it would only take one person if that to ask fiddy nicely to turn his caps off. Not however many it took. And its bad when the moderators only have a deleat/modifiy certain posts. If you lot are going nazi style, dont make comments like hmmm this will be interesting etc. And be equal. the good old 355 never fails, just put a 355 locker in my car, seem ok havent ran it with this diff gears yet, but i'll keep ya posted man
