Hi all, i have now blown diff no.2 in my stanza so my backup plan is now underway. I have bought a new stronger diff (Gazalle with 720 ute centre) however needs to be shortened to suit. Anybody know of any workshops that can do such a job? Once narrowed it will be back to the track to better my13.3 sec Qtr, Not gunna ease this one of the line!

Oh yeah, i did it wheelspinning past a V8commodore, fun while it lasted biggrin.gif

I didn't think the Gazelle diff needed to be shortened?

it dosn't if you have different offset wheels. My mags won't fit due to the gazalle diff being an inch wider each side. if my car wasn't as low i could probly get away with it standard width, but if i narrow it it will allow me to fit fatter wheels without increasing the track width too much. i've got 195's under it atm, should fit 225-235 under it for the drags. traction will be a nice change. Wouldnt mind an LSD? know of any around?

Different wheels perhaps? I bumped into a guy with a z18 turbo bluebird on saturday, he has 17 X 9" rims with 255 tyres on the rear.. all boils down to offset.. so get different rims laugh.gif

Gazelle diff should last for yonks.. the H190 is a tough unit! Mind you, I'm on my 2nd one, hehe

But if you do kill the new one, I can get my hands on 2 spare centres so let me know!
