personally no....

think about resale value

u spend an extra 5 k and get turbo and/or manual

and it will be easier to sell and u can ask for more

if u plan to sell a n/a auto in say a year or 2 how much u think u will get for it?

prob will work out cheaper in the end

Sarp r0ck1t..

The biggest thing you need to figure out is do you want to import it, or buy it already in australia. The only real change is that you will require the money upfront if you are wanting to import the baby but will save sometimes up to 1/4 of the price.

If importing it you shouldnt have a problem getting a 93 R33 GTS-T 5 speed. Although it will be pretty much stock except maybe exhaust and pod filter. Check out http://www.j-spec.com.au and have a look at there auctions.

But if you have your mind set on N/A Autos... i have found nice one, although it is in melbourne but if its what you want it is pretty cheap.

Hey Nathan...

I would love to import, cause then i can get something better, but I have to sell my car first, but i have someone interested atm.. so that might not be a problem... but yeah i have to trade it if i can't sell it, so it kinda depends on that too..

I don't have my mind set.. i would love boost +5sp, but can't get that from a dealer for 15K, but i am set on an R33...

Bevan Boy, yeah it might cost more, but but i won't have to pay for it all right now.. and by the middle of feb i have to know i got a new car.. wether it is on a ship on the way over or in the garage. it's just not viable for me to wait on this one.

fair enough

if u need it now then u need it now so....

just got to deal with the situation as it comes

anyway it may be more fun to do the mods urself!

I say go for it & do the turbo engine conversion later, skyline running gear (even N/A) is pretty strong so if you were to drop a turbo motor straight in (under $3000 if you did some work yourself) I don't think you'd have many problems, just check that the brakes aren't different or you may have to upgrade them...it may work out a little bit more expensive in the long run to do the conversion rather than just buying a turbo to begin with, but you have to work with what you got..stick to the 33's though, the 2.5 motor is a big improvement over the 2...

do you have to buy a car right now if not, why don't you wait a while and save up enough for a r33 turbo auto. It would be well worth the wait

Well i did.. but i lost my license for 6 months so i am going for nathan's suggestion, import myself... gives me 3 months to save up extra i might be able to get a r34 gtr.. maybe... then 3 months to get it here + complianced.... sweet!!! laugh.gif
