What on earth is this?? Just discovered some strange looking liquid on the battery terminals this evening. It's not crusty or white, rather a wet looking yellow liquid. Never seen this before. Any ideas what this is?? Is it corrosion?? The liquid is even under the terminal where the positive cap is. I'm abit concerned if it's safe or not. Hope it's not leaking acid or something. Anybody seen this before?? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It dosent seem to be leaking as its on top of the battery posts as well. Unless you smeared it taking the caps off. Low maintence battery too shouldnt ever leak... As for what it is no idea |

was this definatly not there when you first purchased the vehicle? most new cars come with sealant sprayed on both the positive and negative terminals to prevent corrosion when terminlas come lose and vibrate |
