Well as the title says, How much, if any, gain is expected from fitting a FMIC to a MY97 wrx?

Current mods.... 3inch turbo back, hi'flo cat.

K&N in box filter, will be changed to a pod soon.

Turbosmart blow off valve.

Chiptorque chip.

Just wondering if it was worth the conversion?

remove the resonator from inside the front guard and leave the panel filter for summer then swap to the pod for winter. fitting a fmic will increase kw but also lag unless you go for engine management with anti lag setup. I personally beleive that fmic is a waste of time unless you are running 18psi+, have a look at fitting water sprayers to the top mount like the sti setup. for info on wrx mods check out some of the yahoo groups for info.

Chiptorque actually make a good cold air duct that fits into your air box which works well

If you didn't want to spend heaps of dollars
