Neons are illegal, $75 and 1 point, regardless wether your driving or parked cuz its still a distraction.

why do we get done for a neon when you see buildings with about 1000 on them.

Now, when Neons came out on Fast n the Furious - we all thought - fuck they are awesome. Now we consider them as gay fairy lights for ppl who wanna attract attention. Personally, id never have them. My mate has a VS Commondore ute and he has a set of blue neons on them. I Dont get it, but every single chick we know Loves his car , esepacilly the "blue things" under the car they see at night. Ive noticed that lots of chicks (not being sexist or nothing), but the majority of them like riced up cars, with neons, stickers etc. etc. Aw well.

yea they sell them, but somehow they r illegal, even with black lights u get a fine becouse its a blueish colour, which is a federal offence to have a blue light on ur car, and u gotta have some letter from some general to have them. what a load of bulls*#t. ah wells.

Well, yes, driving with neons on is illegal. You will get fined. However, parked with them on, I'm not too sure. Technically, your car could be classed as "on display" when parked. This is a grey area. Best to CALL QLD Transport for a proper ruling on this.

Neons in cars I believe are OK. I got two red ones under my dash, however havn't worked for a long time, and I'm not bothered to fix them.

chicks dig 'em haha

its hard to interfere with your driving ability when you have none in the first place.

I always thought that neons were ok as long as they were not able to be confused with police/ambo/firies, aka not red and blue. oh well, leave it to the rice brigade to explore the limits

Yeah, I don't see why you can't put neons 'inside' the car, as long as it doesn't cause too much distractions to other drivers, and won't interfere with your driving.

I reckon that it looks childish to stick neons underneath a moving car. Folks that see these things probably have a big chuckle to see these useless things tacked underneath. It kind of makes you look like a little kid that just came back from the annual entertainment fair with those luminous glowtubes dangling all around on their body. It's all ok when the fair is on while we're in the flavour of things...but it'd be embarrassing to have them on at other times when there's no fair going on.

yeah those foot pedal neons i thought would be a bit of a waste of money, cuz you dont usually look at ya pedals when ya driving, and usually your foot should be sittin on it too, but unless you have clear feet, you should be right.
