Oooh how I'm going to rip this thing out and toss it at a brick wall!

It seems whatever I decide to change on this boost controller, it makes absolutely no difference at all in the way it boosts. I'll change the boost to 0.10bar, and the duty to 10% from 90%, and the car still boosts at 17-18psi.

I turned LEARN off, read a few articles on how to tune the controller, and again, no difference at all. It monitors the boost/rpm/speed and all perfectly fine.

When the controller is turned off, the car boosts about 10psi, but if i change it to A or B, no matter what settings they are set at, it will boost at 18psi and it will hit boost at 4.3k RPM. Can someone that has experience with this controller help us out? I get the feeling that it isn't wired up properly. I don't know if my mechanic connected the controller to my Autronic SM4 when he installed it.

Also, if someone here uses the AVCR, what Gear Learn settings are you using? I am unsure if mine are correct.

THANKS!

Also, is it just me, or does every single post take up like 1 page on this site? boostcruising experiencing issues?

Sounds like the vacuum lines on the AVC-R are not right. Internal or external gate?

For starters your duty cycle is insane...90% means the turbo is basically told to spool as fast as it can...meaning its doin so but its goin to spike cause its trying to make boost fast and its goin over 0.10

When the AVCR is off the turbo is just running off the wastegate spring which is usually 14.7 psi or a bar of boost.

Give me some information as to wat boost you want on setting a and b, wat turbo you have, engine, and wat RPM you want boost to be coming in, also boosting hard and fast or a nice easy pace.

IE: If you want to be running 18psi on setting a set your boost to 1.35 bar and pending your turbo the duty cycle WILL change over the rev range due to boost spike, tapering off and wat not. So over the rev range from 1500 - 7000 rpm it could be set at 68% 68% 68% 68% then go to 72% because the turbo might be running out so you need to ramp the cycles up to keep is consistant or it could go down to 65% as the turbo is flowing at max flow due to a large rear housing.

So yes give me information on your car and ill try and help you out with a decent setting for you.

Hey mate,

I've tried 0.10bar at 10%-90% cycle, I even set the thing to 2 bar also playing with the duty from 10%-90%. This has no affect at all as to how it boosts which is what my issue is. But I will accept all the help I can get from you. Heres some info:

2.0L 3sgte
GT3076R Internally gated.
I want a steady 16psi all the way through the RPM range. Normally it spikes to (what i can see anyway) 18psi, and then drops down to about 13-14psi when i hit about 6,000rpm. I'd like the boost to come on as early as possible to 16psi, then hold it all the way to 7k.

thanks!

First thing make sure you have the car set up correctly in the AVCR IE 4 Cyl mod and all the jazz.

Set the AVCR to 1.2 bar and try puttin it on 60% duty first accross the rev range and see how that goes.

After you give it a few boot fulls flick it over to the graph and watch for consistancey or get some1 to come with you to watch the AVCR while you give it some. (obviously do this away from public roads and all that jazz) If the turbo isnt hittin full boost, up the duty cycle about 2 - 3 % each time over the rev range. If its gettin there to fast drop it off a 2 -3 % over the rev range.

Ill take a few pics when Im botherd to go and clean my car today and show you my set up and vac line set up so you have it right man. Cause all it is the Solenoid itself goes to the wastegate and the other side goes to my cold side of the cooler pipes and thats it.

Im kinda thinkin you dont have it set up for your car correctly which I will help you through it.
