Take it off!!! But first check that its not going to stuff up the car's areodynamics, as other cars taking off the wing is a VERY bad idea.

buhaha airodynamics. take the fucker off. some japanese lads measued their gtr 33s on a strip with an without the stock wings. they repeatedly scored times .5 second quicker without it.

I got the same problem man, people tell me to take it off and leave it on,at the moment its staying on as I would rather sit back and crack a six pack from plastic on my quest to get spastic laugh.gif

well for performance wise im not sure if its going to be better or worse. but for looks wise you should either replace it or take it off !..... i think they look clean with no wing

my mate took his off his 32 and is smilling all the way

my thoughts on the 32 wing are that they look better with the Wing off... makes it look a little tougher 8)

I think you should take it off, they look alot tougher, n you can get plugs to plug up the holes in your boot, or you can get it done properley, but remeber if you take it off, you are meant to have a brake light in the window, higher moutned brake light or something, my friend got done for no brake light n was told to put the wing back on, i guess its just luck of the draw though. But they do look alot tougher without the wing as someone said, look at OMR032 and 002NVS, they are tough 32's

ditch the wing, your not gonna go fly to china in it so why bother wink.gif... look way better and give the car a better stance biggrin.gif

i reckon both on and off look good, heaps of r32's have been taking them off, and i dont know how u could really do something different? unless u get a big arse wing which would make u look like a homosexual.

i dunno, im just speaking shit

does anyone know how much power an r32 with just a 3inch exhaust has???

i had a vl turbo before this one and this just feels like it has nothin compared to that!

Hahahaha a stock r32 'wing' would produce about 500grams of downforce at 200km/h... 'sif it would matter

Saw you down the coast last night AHH-32.... MSP51 white r33 we was in.

As for wing, take it off.

As for holes, plug em (any hardware store sells grommets to fit) or put tape on the inside and outside so it sticks to each other where the hole is.

As for power, R32 is gonna be slower than a VL Turbo, at least until you do some mods. VL's make serious torque and power for the weight they carry around. But rest assured when a corner comes into play the VL will back off long before you do.

Its not so much the down force but they way the air flows on/over the car, e.g. soarers its best to have that little lip wing thing on the back as it reduces the drag co-efficent. And with porsches the wing stop the back from being lifted up due to the cars shape. Same goes for the Audi TTs, the wing just changes the flow of the air to stop it going under the car and there for lifting it. Thats what I ment at least.

1 question.

How is a wing going to affect how a car performs on a dyno?

Well der wristy boy, the weight of the wing pressing down on the back wheels holds them on the roller better and thus you dont get higher hp readout as you dont loose traction.

DUURRR.

haha

nah i just asked how quick a r32 was with just the 3inch exhaust and pod filter.

btw i got told by mike vine when he did a service on my car that the standard air box would make the car go harder....

anyone wanna give me their opinions???

cams116
Post #35

Yeah pods are shit unless you can actually get cold air running in to them. Other wise you just get MORE heat that the stock airbox. Thats my oppinion at least.
