Microtech LT10S SpecsIf you're looking for specs, than the question must be asked - what exactly are you looking for? The capability of a custom ECU is limited only by your motor and the tuner doing the work... but if you're searching for the full Microtech manual, than you can download that
here.
Microtech LT10S Quick Start Guide (for the impatient)
Parameters - Normal Mode, Fuel Only, PULP, Naturally Aspirated, MAP load
Disclaimer: usual message, this is a guide only and the manual should be read in full etc, you really should know what you're doing, but hey, this is a great way to get your car running if you don't have a clue and need to get it to the tuning workshop.
- SET Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
This Step must be done BEFORE ENGINE IS STARTED
• Scroll to TPScal (Screen 30 on Handset)
• Set Idle Speed Screw
• With foot OFF Throttle, Adjust Up/Down until TPS reads 0 (zero)
Yellow light will appear on ECU when TPS is calibrated correctly
- Tune Idle – Set idle speed and adjust Up/Down for smoothest idle
• Scroll to Idle (Screen 1 on Handset)
• Set Idle Speed Screw
• Adjust Up/Down to achieve best idle and emissions.
Black Smoke (Too Rich) Adjust Pulse Width Down
Hunting (Too Lean) Adjust Pulse Width Up - Step 3 TUNE OFF IDLE – Adjust this section with NO load on the engine. Adjust first 3 vacuum section for best Throttle response and target AFR is achieved.
• Scroll to Load (Screen 8 on Handset)
TARGET AIR/FUEL RATIO 14.7-13.5
AFR < 13.5:1 (Too Rich) Adjust Pulse Width Down
AFR > 14.7:1 (Too Lean) Adjust Pulse Width Up
• With light throttle rev engine to 2000rpm and adjust 25”, 20”, 15” Hg Sections until engine clean revs and target AFR is achieved. - TUNE LOAD MAP – Should be done on a Dyno or open
deserted road. Run engine under load or up a hill at 3000rpm
and adjust 10”, 5” & 0”Hg sections until target AFR is achieved.
TARGET AIR/FUEL RATIO 13.5-12.5
AFR < 12.5:1 (Too Rich) Adjust Pulse Width Down
AFR > 13.5:1 (Too Lean) Adjust Pulse Width Up
• Under load rev engine to 3000rpm and adjust 10”, 5” & 0”Hg until target AFR is achieved. Once you are satisfied with the results from Step 1-4 it time to fine tune your engine. - TUNE WOT – This function is set under full load / wide open
throttle. This task is best completed on a dyno. The mixture is
corrected every 500rpm from 500-9000rpm.
TARGET AIR/FUEL RATIO 12.0-12.5
AFR < 12.0:1 (Too Rich) Adjust Pulse Width Down
AFR > 12.5:1 (Too Lean) Adjust Pulse Width Up
• Scroll to RPMwot (Screen 17 on Handset)
• Adjust pulse width every 500 rpm until target AFR is achieved - TUNE CRUISE – This function is set under cruise / light load conditions. This will provide better Fuel Consumption during cruising and highway driving. The mixture is corrected every 500rpm from 500-9000rpm.
TARGET AIR/FUEL RATIO 14.2-14.7
AFR < 14.2:1 (Too Rich) Adjust Pulse Width Down
AFR > 14.7:1 (Too Lean) Adjust Pulse Width Up
• Scroll to RPMcrs (Screen 18 on Handset)
• Adjust Pulse Width every 500 rpm until target AFR is achieved - Tune Accelerator Pump – This section improves throttle response and removes flat spots in the tune.
# Note: Select suitable gear to provide longest test without bogging the engine down.
• Scroll to Pump1 (Screen 19 on Handset) – Idle-2000rpm
• Apply Full throttle from near idle speed while rolling - # 2nd Gear
• Decrease the Pulse Width in small increments – Repeat Testuntil you note a definite hesitation
• Increase Pulse Width to next highest value with NO hesitation
• Scroll to Pump2 (Screen 20 on Handset) – Over 2000rpm
• Apply Full throttle from 2000rpm while rolling - # 3rd Gear
• Decrease the Pulse Width in small increments – Repeat Test
until you note a definite hesitation
• Increase Pulse Width to next highest value with NO hesitation
