Just bought a HZ kingswood ute, having difficulty with dash instruments and lights.

It has a GTS dash in it which im pretty sure isnt original.

All my instruments like fuel temperature oil and battery work when i first start the car, but as soon
as i move it into gear from park to drive they stop working..... I also have no dash lights at all at anytime.

Im assuming its an Earth problem but where do i start looking? And is there any known or common things i should
be looking for?
Also if anyone has any spare parts of any kind feel free to send me a message i may need or just want them, can disciss the right price.
