Ads. They're annoying, in your face and now they're plastered all over boost worse than ever.

Way to ruin a website guys, cram ads down members throats. I know where the farken shops are mate and if i wanna buy some fcuking blinds, i will go to the shop.

Seriously, ads on the homepage in amongst the events photos. Then im reading a topic and some fcuken video starts itself at full volume (missus asleep next to me), to tell me how much i can save on blinds. I couldnt farken care less about blinds and neither could 95% of the people on here.

If you must have ads, why not have car related shit you dumbasses. Or you can sell your site to the highest bidders and watch it slowly die.

A site like this costs a fair bit to maintain.. People don't want to contribute so admin make sell advertising space.. Don't want ads? Then contribute and buy a gold membership.

We have no specific control over the advertising, a website like this utilizes a media agency (such as Google) who then sell off the ad space to various different advertisers.

It's a little disturbing that you found a video that started on it's own and we can see if something can be done about that, but ultimately without advertising, free websites like this wouldn't exist.

PS, the homepage may be going back to the old format shortly.

That's what i was getting at. Why would you not want control over what gets advertised on your site? At least advertise something that may be useful to someone whos interested in cars on a car website, like discount auto parts or something. Blinds? Life insurance? Ewwwwwwww

The agencies obviously target advertising as best as possible, like at the moment on the homepage I see a car finance ad, an ad for renault, and an ad for nissan.

But when there aren't sufficient automotive related advertising campaigns running, other 'fill' ads are shown, such as general stuff such as the life insurance, credit cards, etc.
