Where is the switch for the fans on the ecotec v6? Vt thermo fans not working... im suspecting the switch but im unsure of where it is? the switch at the thermostat is only the temp gauge sensor not the fan switch... there is only one switch at the thermostat so where is the other one??
can anyone help us out??

Checked the thermo fuse/relay in the fuse box in the engine bay?

yeah mate switched over the relays no effect... you can bypass the switch by shorting the wires to the relay.. so the power is there n the circuit is fine... has to be the switch jus effed if i know where it is on the motor

Hey mate from memory on the vz which will b similar if you turn your air con on the big thermo will spin and the smallier one is your engine thermo.

But if you stand at the front of the motor looking at it on the passengers side there is a sensor going into the head on the side closer to the front of the motor with a plug on it that is your temp sensor. Unplug that and there thermo should come straight on.

Hope that helps

Given that the VZ has a different engine to the VT, surely they wouldn't be the same........right? :s

Correct. The OP should start looking for the ECT sensor in the spot where I told him it was in the other thread.

It'd be all sorted if that was true but you didnt actually tell me where the fan switch is! the gauge sensor is at the thermo housing but the fan switch is elsewhere.....
I was asking for help not for smartass comments!
