Oh, also sometimes the brushes in the electric motor (brushes = carbon things that conduct electricity through the motor)

can wear prematurely or even just fall out. This usually takes at the most 1hr to fix...including taking the door trims off!!

Sorry bundy goon, looks like it's bad news. Here's a topic I saw in Performance Forums: http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/...readid=67142108

All s15 owners know that certain 'problems' with the s15 are considered features over faults such as the thrust bearing making an annoying noise when car is in neutrel and the clutch is not depressed.

Here is one that is not as easy to live with.

Two saturday nights ago my drivers window went down.....and never came back up...the cog gets caught on the last tooth and the poor motor goes literally red hot trying to lift it up.

A friend of mine had the same problem and a few taps to the door trim jarred it back into motion.....

I tried to belt the shit out of mine for about 20 minutes to no avail.

Nissan do not carry the new motor and reg (required parts) so you have to wait for them to order it in.

In the meantime they jam your window to the upright position and insert big block of foam to hold it up...

Well mine started to slip back down last night when it was raining and i was in peak hour....

I also heard from the spare parts manager...it is starting to happen to a fair few cars......as he looked it up on the trusty nissan intranet.......
