OK, a mate of mine asked me a question a few days ago and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it...

A mate of his has an Evo. dont ask me what one, anyways they were asking about a water spray kinda thing.

Idea being it sprays water on the Intercooler to cool it down more when needed, anyone ever hear of something like this? or know what its called if you can get it? i have no idea, i guess i would help cool it faster *shrugs* i dunno

DIY, its easy. hook it up to your windscreen washer thing and run some hose down to the IC and plug a couple of jets from your local hardware place in it

yeah they come stock on STI WRX's in japan the aus spec ones don't have it, it does help cool inlet temperatures but not by great deal

there was an article on it a while ago in "fast rice and rotisaries" or "hot rice" magazine a while back

There was also an article in an issue of Zoom where they used garden hose parts, and big plastic jerry can and a pump for about $150 if I remember correctly.....and if you use a big enough container and use a pressure switch to activate it then it will only be activated at a certain boost pressure

you ppl are going all out... find a local garden..like your neighbours... they supply plenty of free water jet sprays...

go to a wrecker, get another washer bottle and pump with a 1 way valve to prevent it from leaving and hook that up.. so you saty legal!
