Turbo Vn Commodore - engine starts, idles and then dies

car will start and idle 4 a few seconds and then die, will rev every now and then and it dies, thinking maybe a bad sensor sumwhere or really bad fuel or clogged lines, if sum1 can help me please do, thanks

I know the VN commodores tend to have alot of electrical issues.
things like the CAS, DFI module, coil pack, ECU and even the leads tended to fail at one point or another.
alot of the VN ECUs were replaced under warranty they were that bad.

All of the above and add crank pulley rubber cracked, fuel filter and fuel pump(pressure and flow problems) should cover all of the basic starting points for getting it solved smile.gif

thanks 4 the feed back guys, hav also been told it may b the tempreture sendor 2 coz a mate said his nephews did the same thing

replaced everything today al new everything lol stil no good replaced oil press fuel filter cleanned coil packs new o2 sensor second hand ecu cleaned the air fuel sender second hand throttle body injector cleaner and more fuel still runs the same!!!! if you can think of anything tell me please!

i think you should check the ecu for fault codes, this should help pinpoint the problem alot easier.
what exactly did you replace? and what parts did you use to do this? being more specific will help.
i would still dare say it's an electrical fault somewhere, the vn's are highly renowed for it.

Is the stock ECU tuned to suit the turbo engine? If so, make sure you get the secondhand ECU tuned to suit before you drive it.

Did you check the crank angle sensor and the crank pulley rubber?

ur ecu is in fail safe wont allow car to run bcause of turbo ect u need to reset ecu
