Proposed import regulation changes may allow the NSX and many other popular models to be imported under a new 25 year rule for Australia from late 2017. http://prestigemotorsport.com.au/faqs/new-...-for-australia/

Until now, any models sold in Aust in full volume were blocked for import under SEVS.

Changes to the way SEVS vehicles are evaluated may also allow certain models models like the R35 GTR NISMO Edition to be imported under SEVS:

There's still a long way to go with the changes, as the Govt. only met on 31st March 2016 for a discussion with stakeholders and nothing has been reported from that meeting yet. Any changes also need to pass through parliament.
