Just so the people who were interested in having Dale (10sec_rx7) tune their car, he is coming up first week of October. If you want him to tune it and need to have anything fixed / replaced then you have a little over 4 weeks to get it done. I have a list of people who were interested from the last thread, and a few more additions since. He will only be here a week, and he doesn't intend to work that entire time as he wants to see what the Top End is all about, so send me a PM if you want further details or would like to put your name down. When I speak with the w/shop that I'll hire the dyno through I'll be able to give you prices based on an hourly hire rate, and I'll do that through through PM or SMS. That is all, thanks for your time. Buh Baiiiiii!!!!1one This thread is sealed with tender loving moderator approval goodness. If anyone feels the need to fuck my thread I will p0p a cap in y0 arse fo0l. |

Due to Dale's work commitments, Jambo and general getting on the piss behaviour I am looking to fly him up on Wednesday night, arrive Thursday morning (red eye flight - sorry babe) and he'll go back to Sydney on Sunday or Monday night. That will only give Dale 4 - 5 days in Darwin, and depending on previous setting in your ECU, will take 2ish hours to tune each car. |

As above, I remember a thread from a while ago that was a bit of a discussion on Dale and his previous tuning he had done, but couldn't find it with a quick search. |

QUOTE(angels666 @ Aug 25 2006, 01:39 AM) 1 only admin can ban but I can however put the request in ... 2 if you can't have an adult discussion on a forum without turning it into a shitfight then you need to leave it. That was all I said in the other thread, don't alter or twist my words. Seriously I'm not sure what the hard part is about that other topic ... you either YES want to be tuned by whoever this guy is (no offense to the person) or NO you don't. Create another thread as you've just done and I can assure you your posting rights will be removed. This car is running on the boostcruising drag day, looking forward to see it run. Sorry but we were just trying to support local businesses, theres no harm in that is there. As a small business owner myself i know how hard it is to keep up a good reputation and maintain a customer base, and it aint that easy, darwin is a small place. There are a few tuning joints in Darwin and most have good reputations and understand the weather differences between here and there, not saying that dale doesnt. Just may have seemed odd to a few ppl on this site what Phee is doing but that is her choice. I wish her luck with her tune. Sorry but i'll be supporting local business. Cheers Joe |

That's fine and no one is not saying not to support your local guys ... my issue was creating a second thread for no reason and VLCT WALKY is aware of that. You "CAN" discuss/debate/ask questions in this thread ... all I ask is you keep it civil, save the name calling for another forum and don't get personal |

I don't know of any workshop that will offer a warranty on a tune... Thousands of cars go pop on dyno's every year through no fault of the operator or tuner. It's not like replacing a head gasket or something and offering a 3 month warranty, there are too many variables when tuning to give a guarantee. I mean, you could tune the car on 98 RON and the owner runs 91, who's fault is that? You could tune to run 8psi boost then the owner changes to 12psi.... who's fault? I can assure you when it goes back to the tuner it'll be "I never ran over 8psi, honest..." |

So if one of your clients polished his car with 2000grit sandpaper you'd warrant the paint? |

I know, but would you pay for the repolishing fee if one of your customers did it? |

Well if this person that is winding the boost up doesnt realise that they need a re-tune and if they do know and delibretely deny it, then they shouldnt own a car! |
