Does anyone know if a 10" tube sub will fit behind a rear seat in a 94 Hilux 4x4???

Hey Mate, i am going to bump this up cause this is a major problem i had with the sound system in my lux. A 10" tube just will not fit, the best way to go without modifiying your seats too much, is to get the pioneer 12 inch 1200 watt flat sub, admittedly tyhe bass is not as good as a 10" in a tube let alone a box. But the way to do it is to cut out the middle part of your seat, and get a custom box made up, its all a complex procedure but i had all the plans done if you want. The option i chose is far more extreme, and in my opinion more rewarding. 1) buy rear seat from wreckers, 2) remove whole middle section of bench seat from top and bottom, 3) make custom box with enough air space for 2 12 inch subs, 3 ) paint her up, bolt her onto the seat frame, 4) enjoy the bass . i still have my plans from that project too, the big down fall is seating goes down to 4, but for me thats not an issue, i will have pics of the install soon. |

i got a 6'' jl sub in the center bit of moding but worth it sound awesome not any good for pure bass, also clarion has just released a 10'' sub which is only 79mm deep. |
