Hey guys

I'm ordering some wheels that have a bigger center hole than the one of my car. Stud pattern is the same. I heard that there are things that can compensate the difference called hubcentric rings or something. Will these get the job done? Or are they not necessary. Also does the offset effect whether the wheel will fit or not?

Sorta noob ohmy.gif

Thanks.

offset will matter as much as the stud pattern, if the offset is not suitable the rim will not fit on properly... so do some research on what car u own and make sure the offset will be right before u buy eem

Hello,
If you are ordering your wheels, then the place you are getting them from should have also ordered the rings for you. Any decent wheel place will be able to get them. I dont place much faith in hte place you ordered them from if they didnt sort that out. They should be able to sell you the right offset. If the offset is wrong the wheel will sit in too far and rub suspension or out too far and rub guards and make your handling pretty crappy. Do a google search for wheel offset.

You definitely need the hubcentirc rings unless you want to break wheel studs all the time wink.gif

Offset will affect if it fits. If the offset is closer to zero than factory rims, they will stick out of the guard(illegal) and if it is a larger number, the rim will hit the strut and will NEVER fit.

Get a close to stock offset if you can smile.gif

Awesome. Thanks iamhappy.

How do you find out the offset though?

Pull off your factory rims, one of the spokes will have it stamped on to it there. Should be something like +30 etc
