With my 2016 Pulsar Hatch, when I'm cruising downhill at speed (roughly 70 -100 kph) with no acceleration applied, there is a strange 'jerkiness' - where the engine revs go up and down intermittently between about the 1500-2500 rpm range (rather than just stable rpm). It feels as if I'm intermittently braking slightly, but no braking whatsoever is being applied. A former Nissan employee suggested it may be something to do with 'air leaks' in the system. At any rate, he said that this annoying trait won't be doing any harm, but to get it checked at the next service. (The car has done about 82000 kms.) Does anyone have any other information or insights on this phenomenon? Is it a potential CVT trait after substantial kilometres - or perhaps just a Nissan idiosyncrasy for this model? (I've only noticed it in about the last 5000 ks or so).
