Hey de ho! I want to take the Green Machine out to Willowbank on the 18th Dec for a bit of a race. That's a Wednesday night drag meet. Anyone up for joining me?



P.S. I know it's the middle of the week, but at least you get more runs!

Yeah.. i might head on out.. i finish work at 6pm in Ipswich anyway, so its not much further to go for a few runs... the cam timing will be all sorted out before then (thurs 14/11 actually biggrin.gif) so i should see better than a slower-than-stock 17.9 !!! lol

pfft.. come for a run even if you dont have a FMIC... you wont be the slowest of the night (i'll prolly take the honours there biggrin.gif) all in good fun.

Nah just she was pining out at low boost yesterday.





might wind the boost down . see if i can get a close dial in and beat yall on reaction time * my 3.5533 reaction times rawK!*

ahah Josh.. even I did better than that with a 2.249.. Everyone laughed at me. I wasn't racing for reaction times.. I was racing to see how slow my car would go sad.gif

I'm HOPING for 12s, which is what the mechanic promised me, but in reality, it's going to be high 13s or low 14s. All depends if I get the N20 on in time.

I hoping to put nitrous through mine as well. Traction is my only problem. I need some slicks or at least some sticky street tyres. 17s just dont seem to hook up!

Excellent about the N20. I've got some Drag street-slicks "McClearys" on 15" Cragar Indy mags if you think you can fit em. They are about 325 to 345 in width, height around 70. It's a pretty damn tall tyre, and pretty damn wide one. I don't mind ya usin em, as long as you don't burn off too much tred.

18th Dec, that's right. Time the gates open is: 5pm, race starts at 5.30pm. $30 to race (struth, gone up again since I was last there) $14 adult spectate, $12 student with ID, kids under 13 freebies.

Usually, you just rock up, but for people that are on holidays like myself, I just wanted to organise a cruise there as well. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to find a suitable area for these people that want to cruise. Oh well, I work that out.

Thanks for the offer hoon, but I don't think they'll fit under my guards. I'll try and pick my self up a set b4 the day. Are you going to mini tub the XE to fit them under?

That's the plan. It's gonna havta be a massive tub and another upgrade on the flair. Cars arse end is gonna be one phat mother. Shorten the axles too...damninit. Cha-Ching!

wouldnt mind coming along, just for a bit of a sniff..... hehe, never been to one before, but i would love to see some fellow boost cruisers drag against eachother to c that we can c that everyone isnt just all talk.

Oh, forgot to mention. For those who are interested, I'll be having a professional photographer there that night. 72 photos @ $280 is what he quoted me. I was originally going to get him to grab some awesome action shots of my car, basically the shots I can't take while I'm driving...duh! So, if you want a few good coloured action snaps of your pride and joy, we can work something out. I'll also have my digital camera, so I'll be roaming when I'm not workin on the car.



I'll also have a video camera mounted via a kewl screw in the rear parcel shelf, so if anyone wants to do some in-car camera action with this special setup, please let me know. Most video footage will be placed on the web.

i envisage high 16 sec passes for me... did a whopping 17.4 with the cam timing stuffed up, but thats sort of fixed (not as good as it can, but got a *bit* more down low to get me off the line).. gotta get me a stally to get the thing goin a bit better.. hehe

i tested my car a few weeks ago first run i got a 16.7 and the second run i got a 1min 48secs yes a 1min 48secs try to beat that its sad when you have to push you car over the line and onto the side road. the air flow sensor fell off so the car just died.
