What offset do you require? I don't know what I want lol Would rather have the exhaust done, cai and ecu with a tune first This Doc,love the sound of a WRX with a nice system, for me it's on a par with an old school V8.I helped a good mate of mine fit an EJ25 to a 1974 volkswagen Lbug.I did all the welding for the coolant pipes and exhaust.Unequal length headers....sounds great, but a giveaway to what is otherwise a great sleeper. |

Im not a fan of the sound of a Rexy with a full exhaust just something about it that does my head in lol I'm not talking about a twin system or a 4 inch fart can hanging off the back, but if you shorten one of the headers (which we had to do to get the exhaust to fit in under the back valance) and into a single exhaust box,it gets a nice burble.Your Fairlane, with a twin system, and no balance pipe,or resonator boxes, would give me the same sort of 'chubby',probably a bit harder ![]() |

Best thing about the Fairlane, very easy to find wheels for it ![]() easy enough to find cheaper older style rims, on account of you not needing larger diameters. once you start needing 17" or bigger, then you'll find the offsets aren't suitable / go to far inwards. i'm looking at billet wheels now, have reduced my size preference down from 20"s to 18's. found these centrelines on summit racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cll-9198957545/overview/ they make an 8" front with 0 offset that i can use for the front. not to badly priced. the wheels i was looking at last night, made by billet specialties, aren't load rated, even though their desinged for street use, so until the manufacturer answers my enquiry, they're off the radar. |
