In order to keep everyone together to keep to an absolute minimum disruption to the traffic I would ask all southern Gold Coast people to still meet with the main Gold Coast group. I realise it might mean doubling back for some (myself included) however it will be far easier for everyone to be together and also for the propsed Police escort for the cruise if we all cruise to the BWCP together. Whilst some might not like this please think of the people that are coming as far south as Lismore to participate in this event.

We must remember it is only two (2) weeks prior to Christmas and there will be heavy traffic on the roads with people Christmas shopping. What creates the biggest headache for me is that we must remember Australia Fair is straight opposite the BWCP and we must be remindful of the Christmas shoppers without causing them to much disruption.

I will from two (2) weeks time be in the BWCP on Friday/Saturday nights and on the Esplanade Sunday afternoons pre-selling stickers to make life easier on the actual day of the event.

I live in SA and am thinking of organising a cruise doing the same thing on the same day, would be cool to do.

Hey this looks like it's going to be a huge event!! Have you sorted out meeting spots? If so maybe a poll up on the site might help so people can say where they'll meet - eg. choices: Ipswich meeting place, North Brisbane, City Brisbane, South Brisbane, Gold Coast, NSW-people etc.. And times so there's enough time to get to the next meeting spot. Then you can have more of an idea about numbers maybe? and whether you'll need more or less meeting spots....

Have you actually read the first post at all? Meeting spots and cruise leaders have been organised for the day.

This event is going to be huge and everyone will be needed to help in some way or another smile.gif

Actually yes I have read the first post and probably the whole thing... What's your point?? I haven't seen any finalised locations for meeting spots or numbers of people that have confimed??? Sorry just thought it (a poll) might help.

Hi all,

This is the best idea ever, the little kiddies are gonna love it soooooo much. I was stuck in hospital for ages because i got diagnosed with diabetes so i know how they feel. Im gonna go with my bro (70XIN) and will probably take heaps of photos and probably some videos. It will be awesome to show that everybody cares.
I hope everything turnes out sweet.
