Don't forget this is theoretical science. A superconductor in motion doesn't negate the effects of air resistance. And the reason it stopped after four loops is due to the superconductor absorbing heat from the atmosphere and no longer being below its critical temperature to still have it's superconductive properties.

Remember he said that the disc he is showing in only half a micron thick. To put that in perspective, 1 micron is one thousandth of 1mm. That is why he is able to pull it out of the lock.

Hypsters rejoice, you can now use your 3d printer to print records. Beit the sounds quality isn't that good as yet, but as the printers improve so will the ability to print better sound quality on them.
