Engine: RB26DETT Inline 6 cyl twin cam 24 valve twin turbo
Exhaust: Split dumps, 3 inch single cannon
Suspension: Stock springs, Bilstein shocks with adjustable spring seats,
no rear swaybar, adjustable front upper camber bushes
Wheels: 17x9 rays
Modifications: R34 GTR engine, R34 N1 turbos, increased boost, locked diff, extensive roll cage
Stereo Audio / Visual: n/a
Estimated Power: 320 HP ATW
This is one of the few Australian delivered GTRs, so it has the extra goodies, such as no speed limiter, 260k dash, rear diff cooler + the other asthetic differences.
It was raced at Bathurst in 1993 in the James Hardie 12hr endurance race & finished 4th outright.

Why wasn't the original race motor restored to racing specs ?
That has just gone and devalued the car, it's worth no more then any other imported GT-R now

mad racer

Haha, so you're saying you think it is only worth about $18-24k like any other Import R32?
What ever.
FYI I actually have the R32 spec engine it came with aswell,
so I have the option of putting that in if I want anyway. The R34 RB26 engines are superior to the 32 ones so thats why it is in there at the moment.
Thanks everyone for the comments.

shuda kept the old motor worth just as much as any other gtr now. rebuild the old motor put it in.

Is this the real one?
Heard rumours there is one lurking around and was/is for sale for a crazy price.
Is it street registered?
Nice though.

Or the one dressed up like it?

The interior is really stock for a once race car.
Is it street registered?
Nice engine

If this isn't it soz buddy.
Definetly the real deal man. There is no way I would have my car painted like this just for fun!
The Interion is all there still because it was raced in Group N (production class), Which the rules state the interior must remain. (Thats why they have the roll cage going through the back seat

)
No it is not street registered ATM, but it has been in the past.
Now, for all you guys concerned about my engine choice. It was NOT put in there to increase the value of the car. It was chosen for better performance & reliability. The "value" of the car ultimately has not been affected, as I have not modified the car in such a way that it cant be reverted back to the way it was.
It is just a simple engine chage away.
OK!

also mate the original race motor the car used in the twelve hour race was sent back to japan after the race, the engine that comes with the car is the original stock engine it was used when it was a pace car. the 34 engine i assume is just so you can track the car yes?

The 32 engine that came in the car when I got it was stuffed, so I replaced it with a 34 engine as these are a better option than the 32 engine in stock form.
Its for sale now if you want to buy it....

Hi guys. Just popping in a decade after you had this chat.
Datt0man, I know you sold the car but do you or any of the others here know what spec that race engine from Nissan Japan was? I assume it was a complete N1 unit given the N1 ‘Super Taikyu’ series in Japan was a semi-related endurance series and sufficient N1 BNR32 cars had been produced to qualify it as ‘production spec’... but I wonder if there was flexibility in the regulations and any further revisions from stock were incorporated?
