How's it? I have almost finished my RB conversion into my 180 (well I haven't but I would like to think so!). I was going to get the A/C fitted last week but old mate couldn't get the pipes to fit on the A/C pump. I was using the RB A/C hose from the firewall to pump and the old S13 hose from the A/C condensor which has been shortened. The 2 pipes bump into each other and won't go on. Should I use this as an omen and not worry about fitting the A/C? I hardly used it when the car was a 4 cylinder and I didn't use it to much in my old car either. I have heard some people having overheating drama's in their S13's with RB's in them and I suppose the A/C condensor is just something in the way. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks Pete
l dont know much about the overheating probs but l love my A/C during summer no way l would get rid of mine
if my car had a/c i would neva get rid of it
even though you drive with windows down most of the time (i do) , dont ever ever ever sacrifice the air con
if its a daily driver then put in the extra time to get it done mate, if its a track car then piss it off!
your only short changing yourself if you dont put it in and go to sell it...so think about that..
Thanks for your replies maybe I might keep it and see how I go. Thanks Pete
i know a few rbs to still have air con. As for overheating, why not just run thermos? i mean i know u would have to now with fitting an rb into a silvia, but u could put 2 x12's on the back of the radiator and say like a 10'' infront of the aircon. Shouldnt overheat then
May have it sorted thanks to Whyke10 Thanks bud! Oh yea I have a 14inch thermo on the A/C condensor and a 10inch on the radiator engine side. I haven't had any drama's with it yet, just from what I have heard from other people just makes me aware of the possibility......
