think if u wana keep the main unit, u gotta splice into the speaker cables into a lineout converter so it changes to rca outputs. |

You can put a sub in without rca preouts on our headunit. Buy your sub, amp and necessary wiring kit, but also buy a converter that turns your rear speaker cables into rca preouts. Tell the bloke at jbhifi or where ever you are buying the gear from that you need a converter that turns speaker cables into rca outputs. They are relatively cheap and this means you don't need to touch your ford headunit at all. |

yeah, like the two guys said above. Run RCA line converters off your rear speakers. |

The answer is that you don't. Unless you want a 2 tonne paperweight. |

The answer is that you don't. Unless you want a 2 tonne paperweight. Moved to Car Audio. ROCK ON R~R yep thats a $1500 paperweight that is VERY easy to fuck up! $3k if its a colour screen one. easier to pay someone to fit a radio to that thing. panels are available for it. |

Do some searching on here: http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/ Thanks, i will... looks a cool site mate put a foldout dvd screen in his and looks pretty cool when tidied up How much did the entire project cost him? I have seen something similar on the internet but he lost his two main aircon ducts... is that the same with your friend? You can put a sub in without rca preouts on our headunit. This sounds pretty simple, i might duck into JB HIFI over the weekend and suggest what you have mentioned.. Hopefully i can get someone with their screwed on |
