First time poster, would really appreciate the help.

I'm stripping my car to race it but keep it street legal as I'll be driving it to/from the track. I've taken the rear seats and belts out and know I need it mod plated and registered as a 2 seater for that, but I want to take the carpet and sound deadening out as well but I'm unsure on whether I need that mod plated or if it will be roadworthy.

On the topic of weight reducing, what else can I legally remove, even if it has to be mod plated?
