Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest a good tuner for my project?

I've got a 1985 Pontiac TransAM running a Small Block Chev 400 motor, AFR ported heads, XE270HR cam, and Holley Stealth Ram fuel injection system.

That's the easy part.

The tricky part....
It's running a LS1 PCM with coil per cylinder ignition on the repinned VX commodore harness set up for the SBC firing order.
I've flashed a base tune with a modified Custom OS1 MAFless tune, and the firing orders, and bank assignments etc have been set up.
The idle has been roughly set and it goes ok, but just needs the fuel and spark maps set properly.

So in summary, I need an LS1 tuner, but someone that knows how to tune, and isn't just flashing tunes from a library for specific cam or bolt on upgrades.

So far I've had a quote for $1000 to do it, but I'm sure someone can beat that, considering most of the work has been done to get it ready, and the exhaust has the wideband o2 set up ready to go.

I'm not looking to squeeze every last horse out of the car by any means, just a quick tune to get the fuel tables right and spark set enough to get me in the 400-450hp range which should be easily attainable with the motor.

Let me know if you think you have a good suggestion for a tuner.

By the way, this is the car... smile.gif
