i cam across a 81 corolla and i was wondering what the best motor to put in it is?I wanna try to get into drifting some which i wont lie i have never done but i figure why not if i can build a car for cheap.

drifting in a fwd corolla? hmmm. that would definatley require a 2jz-gte.

rofl tryin 2 drift a fwd with a 2jz would b intresting...3s-gte is a fairly common and cheap motor these days..go for one of them

You would be surprised how similar the range of corollas is in thier chassis design. for example, the KE70 and AE71 corollas' (RWD) are basically the same chassis as a sprinter. They just don't look the same and don't tend to have the "takumi tax" attached to them. so they can be purchased for a cheap price.

so these a fast rwd motors?I am possible looking to turbo it so which of these motors would be good for a turbo?Or would it be better to build the motor?Sorry if i am asking to many questions but i am not familar with toyotas.

Yeah forgot about the Ke70s, im considering getting one of them..
