ok so ill show you my interesting car
Its a 1972 mini clubman, With what i call a 'stuffed' 1100 in it.
Its a good little machine, i used to hammer it everyday , but now ive got another work car, and mini prolly only gets driven once a fortnight.
I just had it checked for roadworthyness today, this morning. It failed. ball joints, steering rack, i need a new muffler, and athe brakes need attention if i want to get it put on to SI rego. If not ill just get it re regoed normally.
But today on the drive down this morning, the brakes completely failed, about 500m from the mechanics.( this was at 630am) But then i had to drive it home 20 kays at about a max speed of 30 miles. Cause there was no resistance from the brakes at all. I was going up the Burnie hospital hill, accelerator flat, and i was pumping and hammering the brakes to see if there was even just a tiny bit of stopping ability. But not even up hill they work HAHAHAHA.
so that was stupid but it was also funny. handbrake use was the only thing that helped slow, but that wasnt too flash. So it was an adventure.
anyways, i live near enough to Burnie, so if you ever see me swerving, or squeeking the tyres, its the handbrake going cause ive got no brakes.
