geez that all? they'll both be in trouble if they ever put the veyron, bugatti's w16 8.0l quad turbo 1001bhp 1250nm, engine in something less than a 2 tonne luxury car - (which is still supposed to be faster than the mclaren@ 2.9 for the 0-100)
they're just about to hit the market so something to watch out for

Note: TITLE: "2004 McLaren F1"
-The car shown is not only not a 2004, but it is not an F1. The car shown is a 1995-1996 McLaren F1 LM. There were only 5 made, and all in this rare -Bruce McLaren style "Papaya Orange". But secondly, this car is restricted to under 225 mph. The other mclaren is the one that goes 386.4 kmh (240.1 mph).
Overall, I am sorry for having to poke fun at the context of this, but I want to help people and to let them know when they are wrong.
(Yes, I did own a McLaren F1, but only for 2 days.)
As "toyota supra" said, the car in the "official Andy Wallace" 391 kmh video, this is simply incorrect. The true corrected speed was 386.4 kmh, not 391 kmh.
- As stated, the LM's were GTR's.

do cars with spedd limiters removed still fit in the stock catagory, if they do i know of a car thats faster than that koenigsegg, also theres a bugatti that runs 0-100 in 2.9 seconds, none the less the maclaren is still definitely a car id love to own or even just drive, nice car mate.
Did you know the 2004 Mitsubishi lancer es sedan only weighs i think 947kg, give or take a few kg this is just from memory. A Dodge Viper, (made by same group that owns maclaren) that had the speed limiter removed was clocked by dodge at i think it was around 380mph not kph.
But the dodge is an 8.3ltr v10, not a six ltr and it is a lot heavier and slower at 0-100. Cheers.
Still beats the hell out of my 6.9 second 0-100 5 speed lancer, might be quicker than friends 599bhp evo6 that has held the record for the fastest raly car in australasia for 3 consequtive years, not sure but i think that was held till the year 2000 and something.

Feb 14 2006, 06:40 PM
380mph in a viper... was the viper on a dyno or something? no way it could pull 600km/hr on road.
The bugatti veyron is the fastest car to date.

if any of you happen to own a guiness world of records book the mc laren did 388 km/h at a proving ground. and a longtail concept was rumoured to crack 390km/h so i thinx that mclaren is more best still in my mind. and koinensegg-sounds like something at a deep dark corner of a nightclub lol. mclaren looks better 2.....
