Hi, my r32 seems to be having a gearbox problem, the gearbox makes no funny noises but it doesn't go into 1st or 2nd?

any help would be really great

new gearbox? crashed lately? had the gearbox out lately?

it wont go into gear with the car switched off and stationary as well? sounds like a prob with the selector forks/rods or even up in the extention housing.
Might have sheered a roll pin etc.
take it to a mechanic they should be able to suss it out for ya

i have had this problem and it was cause lack of oil and causing burs on cogs for selector rod ... which means you will have to split your box and de bur cogs !!!

what was the problem?

the rubber nut fell off the bottom of the shifter and got stuck in a way which the shifter wouldn't go across enough to get into 1st or 2nd
weird.

That nylon does wear out, there like $7 from nissan, once it starts it keeps happening
