Im looking at getting my motorcycle license in the next few weeks.

im 2 years into my P plates (car) (out of 3 in total). and i've had my L's for motorcycle since i got my initial L plates.. motorcycle L's are still shown on my license.. so its still valid.

how do i suss out going to do the test to get my provisional motorcycle (new laws) license? just call q-ride and book? or what...

and potential cost? i assume its like $350-450 max to go get my license.. but its just an assumption

yeah it's all easy. even if you've never ridden before you'll prettymuch pass unles you're a spastic.

if you google search for "q ride competencies" you should find a pdf doc on the transport website showing everything you ahve to do on the day to pass - uturns, figure of 8s, etc, so if you have access to a bike then it's worth having a practice first and you can replicate & master the exact tests they'll give you on the day.

i wont need practice etc, not tooting my own horn. lol

ive ridden CBR and GSXR 1000's before so the test shouldnt be a worry, and raced open class mx for a few years.

it's just so i can legally ride a VTR250 around town and shit

Forgot to mention, he supplies a bike. Its a honda cb250, easily one of the easiest bikes i have ever ridden. Great bike.

If you've never ridden before, do a 2 day course.
HART (Brisbane airport) offers the cheapest at $390.
They also do personal training for riding, $70. I'd do one of those before you book the two day course if you haven't ridden because it's not as easy as people often expect... and if you've ridden dirt bikes you will have to cease bad habits most probably.

One day courses are about $200.

That was one of the biggest probs for me... breaking bad mx habits!!

q-ride is the best way to go cost me $250 for about 5 hour course with a guy called leo his at the Asply Hypermarket 0437391700 his a really nice guy will talk u through everthing hope this helps!

If you're on the sunny coast then Caboolture is not too far away.
