I am hoping someone can help me .............

Itunes runs all my music.... awesome yes .... well no sad.gif

Itunes isn't working. This morning when I opened it, it asked if i wanted to do an update. I said yes. So I did an update. Then all my files went missing (not off the computer just out of the program) i restarted my computer and tried again, but itunes wouldn't open... just came up with a messaged saying "the folder itunes cannot be found or created and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the My Music Folder" ...

so I tried to open the file from there, and it wouldn't work. so i removed the program all together and decided to try again.

I come home this afternoon, and download itunes again, and it has come up with the same error. sad.gif

now it may be something simple, or i may have missed something, but i have no idea.... head_wall.gif ... Please help ..

thnx in advance

Im using Zune now, its a sweet program but man it chugs the CPU when its starting up/playing media/exiting/idling/doing anything, when its not doing those things it seems pretty efficient though.

Why does everyone use anything other than WMP.
Plays everything i throw at it, maybe if you're running a P1 box and you need every ounce of MHz.
Or i'm not a hardcore enough music listener.

I start winamp as "Winamp.exe X:\" so it automagically recursively searches my X: drive for mp3s on startup, and generates a playlist. The program loads pretty much instantly, with no piss-farting around with libraries and synchronizing etc. Its just simple list of files, and then as it loads a screen full of ID3 tags it reads in the info then.

Result? (Almost) Instant loading of a playlist that contains a huge number of mp3s thats always up to date.

Try doing THAT in WMP tongue.gif

33841 tracks in playlist, average track length: 3:52
Estimated playlist length: 2189 hours 49 minutes 26 seconds

Well, i dont have nearly that much music.
If i ever want to listen, i'll right click on an album folder and select "Add to WMP list" and just play it through.
Thats 89 albums at 5GB.
