biggrin.gif Hi Guys.........

FIRSTLY ************* Ksport is a totally different Company to D2...............

There has been a misunderstanding floating around the marketplace that needs to be cleared up.

Some people, presumably competitors, have been saying that the Ksport product is exactly the same as the D2 product, which is totally incorrect.

................................................................................
.................................................................................
............

Here is what one Supplier has to say on the subject, and I quote:-

"Ksport is actually different from D2 completely. The D2 coilover uses a totaly different seal set. We have had both apart in our shop. D2 came apart because of a failure, and the Ksport was damaged in a car accident (bent) so we disassembled both.

The shaft on the D2's aren't exactly smooth all the way down and they are out of round by almost .05''. Their seals were almost rubber O -rings that were poorly installed.

The Ksport shafts are smooth all the way down and use much nicer seals all the way through. We have been using Ksport for a long time now, they have been great to work with and the product has yet to fail on us."
................................................................................
.................................................................................
...............

If anyone would like a copy of the above exact communication, please email me here:- stsaus1@bigpond.com

Just Jap, the previous Australian Importer of the D2 product, tell me that they no longer import the D2 product because of manufacturing flaws, and too many warranty claims.

I personally would like to state that over the last 5 years since I have been selling the Ksport product here in Australia, I have had NO warranty claims, NO returns, and NO customer complaints, except one who fitted the product incorrectly thus damaging the coilovers, BUT, Ksport replaced them anyway. How good is that? thumbsup.gif

Even though I promote a number of coilover products, and brake kit products, I would have to say that for value for money you can't go past the Ksport product.

smile.gif Actually the rumour about D2 being the same as Ksport has been circulating for a long time. I have had a number of enquiries lately, including yours, that have raised that subject, so I addressed it publicly. Yes, the Ksport Coilovers operate just like full coilovers should, front and rear with more adjustability than most. More details are here - www.ksportusa.com thumbsup.gif Paul.

Have you compared these against any other similarly priced coilovers (ie. ISC, HSD, Racing Logic)?

Racing Logic are an excellent product. I can also source them at discount prices.

ISC I am not familiar with.

HSD I was selling until I heard similar problems with them that D2 were havingand they had lousy service, so I no longer touch them.

The Main ones I recommend these days are Ksport, Tein, BC Racing and Racing Logic.

I firmly believe that value for money, Ksport are well in front. thumbsup.gif

I have no pecuniary biass one way or the other, because I put the same profit margin on all the brands. So, I get paid the same no matter what brand the customer buys. The price difference is set by my buying price from the suppliers. I sell more Ksport, so I can buy them at better prices. cool.gif

Interesting, I was going with a 'custom' set that were around the $2k mark which I deemed acceptable (given that, to my knowledge, there wasn't anything else that wasn't BC/D2 on the market) but now I've seen these I am pretty interested.

I've heard that Racing Logic, D2, G4, and ISC are actually the SAME product, literally made in the same factory, just made in different colours and with different stickers and branding, is this true? Can anyone confirm or deny, with evidence?

Btw is K-Sport and American company or Asian?

I know that Racing Logic is a separate Company to the others. I am not familiar with ISC, but D2 and G4 are the same, but with different logos as you say. cool.gif

Ksport is a Taiwan Company, which is possibly where the confusion has come from, because a number of other coilovers are also made there, but not by them, they are totally separate. It is like saying that because Holden and Ford are made in Australia they are the same Company.

I get my Ksport products from the USA because that is where I get the best prices from. And, they have the clearest website to read with all the specs laid out. If you want to browse the Ksport Taiwan Home Office site go here:- www.k-sportracing.com cool.gif

even though i have hsd coilovers in my car already and have been very happy with them i have to say you have been fairly upfront and straightforward with your communication (well it seems that way from reading your posts) which makes me think that you mite be an alright company to deal with.
