Opps, title came up wrong, choosing*** -As title states,

Only want to run ONE amp the Alpine PDX-4.150 and im running the Focal 165VRS Splits up the front.

What sub would best suit this set up?? im not after an award winning sound system just something that will go nicely with that amp and split set up.

Also the focals will be running off the amp aswell.

what size sub are you after???
what is the car it is goin into

if it a large family sized car you might need another amp to run the sub
if it is a small sized car you might get away with the amp you have( if not i would run another amp)


the alpine type S 12 will sound alright but will be a little under power coz of the peak power of the amp (it is a little 4 channel amp) bit it might be what your after

or a pioneer sub with between 800-1000(peak) watts willl sound alright (still a little under power but will sound alright)

don't turn the gain up on the amp turn the bass booster up other wise it will kill your sub quicker and over heat your amp

i would go with a image dynamics sub, they are sq subs and dont need much power to run, unlike your alpine and sound stream, by the sounds of your choice of fronts and the amp you are more looking for a quality system not loud therefore i would leaving all your shit brands alone (pioneer, kenwood, fusion etc), you didnt state a price range also?

With that SPECIFIC setup I think a VIBE BlackAir 12 would go well. Give it a google and have a read with what you come up with. Second and third results have some information.
