Hi guys just a quick question. My Brother got pulled up and booked in Tweed Heads this morning, for doing a u-turn at a set of traffic lights even though there was no signs to say that you couldnt. Is this a legit fine or..?

Call the RTA buddy. If you they tell you that you can, ask for that documentation in writing.
They are simply the best people to get that information from.

Boost will not help you in regards to fines and legals, do it properly yourself.

you can only do a U turn if there is a sign that says you can, even if there isnt a sign you still cant, i think it is bullshit but hey thats the law
drfta_7
and your also not allowed to do u-turns at traffic light anyways

Right turn lanes are for turning right.

No U-turns at intersections with lights in NSW unless a sign says you can.

Yea abit of a hard one, heys..... mellow.gif

like Half the time YOU either see a sign stated No U-turn allowed.. and then other times there nothing there at all... dry.gif .. I think if theres nothing there u should be allowed to do a U-turn,, But with care. ( give way to other cars ) e.g other flow has right of way.

and then u do see a U-turn is allowed/ or u see a U-turn arrow on the road. and U turn lights .. smile.gif

They dont make it real easy..

But yea, if not sure best to prolly not do the u-turn in the 1st place. hey
