to be honest mate if its your daily 35's are over rated..throw on some 33's in mud terrains..also should consider maybe getting a smaller body lift and installing a suspension lift?

You'll have to change the diff gears to suit so the clutch and engine should be fine, its the CVs and axles I'd be worried about.

Patrol diffs are quite a lot bigger & stronger than yours though.
They're definitely illegal.

50mm bigger then stock is the limit so 30s on a hilux is biggest as long as they dnt stick out heaps and u got good mud flaps u wont get picked on i wouldnt go 35s on it id stick to 33s thats what i got they big enough

Ah why ?
Run 33's when daily driving, 35's to go off road. I've got a mate that drives around with 38's on - hasnt been pulled over once.

What type of driving do you do? I do rockcrawling with a number of guys in Hiluxes with 31 and 32" Simex (measure 32-33") and they have no problems going over the same stuff as I do with 35s. You'll gain very little extra ability if you're still unlocked with poor flex and gearing, etc.
