Jjust bought this off ebay for $80 which is pretty good compared to the health foods shop price ($160), http://www.bodysupps.com.au/s-12-review-of...-no-xplode.aspx
got a few good reviews from mates round the gym they said it gets you pumpin way harder then usually and helps recovery and makes you feel 50% better after a workout,
just wondering if anyones ever tried it on here? noticed any difference?

Tried it for a month. Was not worth the money IMO, seemed more like a placebo effect than anything else.
whykickamoocow
I too believe it is more of a placebo effect. I have tried this stuff and other products that are similar but I have never felt or seen the effects that it says it delivers.

Caffeine + sugar = bad.
truffles
Tried it, thought it was useless. It's essentially coloured sugar and caffiene powder, which can actually restrict blood circulation and affect athletic performance poorly.

BSN, the manufacturer of N.Oexplode and other products such as cellmass had a class action lawsuit filed against them (which they lost) for false advertising and misrepresentation of their product, in which this magical ingredient of CEM3 that BSN based their products around does actually not exist. See http://www.supplementgenius.com/2009/01/20/bsn-lawsuit/

All smoke and mirrors.

Tried m'tech first, I crashed so hard on this stuff so i tried bsn no crash just a buzz. It seems the BIG companies just stack their stuff with crap, stick to the smaller companies and you should be fine, well I think so.

currently using reflex nutrition supps and they are great!
Darkness
Yeah, to many companies bringing out stuff with so many claims that will help you get ripped in 4 weeks, and all that sort of jazz.

People will just buy it and sit on their ass and wonder why nothing is happening.

They never read the really, really small fine print that says you really have to work your ass off to see any results.

MattyTime
I used it friday and sunday, it actually gave me a pretty good buzz. i definatly pushed out a lot harder then i usually do. i did mix it with a creatine powder i bought, either way, im pretty happy with it, will see if it continues to give me the buzz it did on sunday

I love it. I also mix another creatine and an L glutamine product with it.

Here's how to test whether or not you get anything from it. Take it as directed for 7 or 8 workouts, then don't take it for the next workout. See if you feel any different. I feel flat and shit without it.

So do most people when they come down from caffeine. That's what all the 'buzz' is, caffeine. Beta-alanine will give you that tingly feeling in your skin, which also helps with the 'buzz' effect.

In my opinion, the ones on the market without caffeine are better products. You can actually tell then if the active indredients are actually doing something, or if it's just you buzzing off your head from a slight caffeine overdose.

Perhaps you are right, but caffeine is a good energy booster anyway. I have used straight creatine powders, but how do you know they are doing anything? I like the " buzz " or energy boost I get from it and I've been using it for some time now. My workouts feel better when on it.
Stromulux
That stuff always made me need to take a dump, not the best when you're doing squats etc
Silly Silvia
caffeine is a vessel restrictor. So not only does it do nothing for you, it actually inhibits your true potential. Thats why your not supposed to take in caffine when your on creatine as it stops the creatine from doing its job.

I used to take that rubbish and noticed that my lifts went down. Stopped taking that crap, and reduced my caffine intake and guess what? Im lifting more.

Whats this rubbish I keep on hearing about "FEELING" better. If you want to feel grow a vagina, if you want to results grow a pair and lift more.
MattyTime
Im loving the effects of noexplode. ive got the new formula after that whole court case BSN faced. maybe theres some difference. I guess everyone has different effects under the influence of NOexplode, but for me and my mate taking it at the moment its awesome.

Pretty hard to say that 1 particular product made you lift less, and stopping it's intake improved your lifts. Your loss in performance could be put down to thousands of things.

Do you know how much caffeine is in No Explode? Do you know how much it takes to impede lifting ability? I don't and am simply asking you the question.

I suppose everyone is different when it comes to what works and what doesn't, but I'm continually lifting more and have used the product for quite some time now.

i agree with it works for some, for me it seems to be doing the job, im lifting heavier weights nd more sets alredy after just a few sessions.
Silly Silvia
I'm just saying that for the money its a rip off.

Go buy some protein powder or straight creatine with no caffeine if you want supplements that actually do something.

I dunno, im just old school when it comes to nutrition and lifting weights. Stick to the basic movements, lift as heavy as you can and eat anything that had parents and veggies and you cant go wrong.

yeh i still stick to my food, no way id substitute that for powders and drinks, normally cereal + fruit brekky, snack of fruit bit later, chicken sandwitch for lunch, snack on some nuts or fruit till gym, then take noexplode, gym. protein drink after. then dinner.
noexplode just seens to help me pump, and $80 for the 1.5kg container aint that bad.

For those taking noxplode for the "buzz", just purchase caffeine pills/tablets. So much cheaper for the same result.

exactly. It's just caffiene and sugar that give you a "buzz". It also has creatine in it but it's all pixie dust and not worth the price tag.

Most of the results you'd be seeing are a placebo effect.
the_random_hero
I can get guarana liquid if anybody is interested, it is quite potent - a couple of drops affects me and I can normally do a 4 pack of Red Bulls without much effect.
MattyTime
where the hell do you get guarana liquid?

Have you tried a similar product called Ignite II by Powerzone Nutrition? Very similar but been around a bit longer, and without the caffeine. Personally I get great results and huge pumps from it. I would have to google the ingredient list, but it's tri-creatine malate (best form of creatine) and some other non central nervous system based stimulants. I would highly recommend anyone to try it out.

This is true, everyone sees different results from supplements, we are all different. Try a few out and see what works best for you.
