my step fathers white 88 hiace van its no oil painting little rough on 17inch chrome mags and full of all his plasting tools he is a subbie so his van and tools are his life stolen at 5 30 this morning from dowsing point which is just between race course and bowen bridge !!! if anyone has seen it call poloice or me on 0458426666 !!!!!

2 nights ago,they stole a tarago van and a ford econovan,heard it on the scanner....dumped and torched them near the hockey oval at new town...so on a hunch,I checked the same spot....burnt out tarago and econovan,but no hiace....so i drove over the road,near the cornelian bay rowing club,and there she was.....

So they are targeting shitter vans for some reason....for the life of me i cant work out why....

So FFS,disable your cars of a night,no matter what they are....even if its only a fuse or battery lead...

What the hell is going on with stolen cars lately? Every shift I work at supershite auto we get someone with a car stolen coming in after glass, locks, window winders and so on.

Every time I park my car now I take off the spark plug leads or at least the coil lead.

i dont have to worry atm, coz the supra has no accelerator cabel and the torana no batery. and i live in the stix

but im with yas, disable. coil lead, kill switch, we had a car in at work that had a kill switch hooked upto the heater, so the fan had to be on full before the car would start. another that had a button that looked like a screw holding the dash on to disable the imobaliser, some crazy ideas, hell my brother wants to charge his with 24 volts, not gunna happen but at least hes keen haha. but it can be as simple as having a removable battery earth or floggin the ignition module. but anything will get stolen and if the car isnt recoverd insurance wont always pay out so best thing is to just make sure it dont make it outa ur drive.
