So i went and saw the Darwin preview of Paranormal Activities last night, and i swear to god it was the best horror movie i have seen in a long time... normally i just shrug those movies off eg: Drag Me to Hell, The Exorcist, Amityville horror etc as they are just shock horror and rely on shit jumping out to get scares

Not this one.. ohmy.gif

no fucking way.. ohmy.gif

I slept bugger all last night... ohmy.gif

my girlfriend who saw it with me literally panicked in the middle of the night everytime she heard a noise... ohmy.gif

seriously this movie was 10/10 because of the suspense that is built up throughout the movie and the believable acting along with an awesome climax that leaves you looking over your shoulder when you get home.... very well done. it doesnt get scares, it leaves you looking over your shoulder by making you think "this could happen to me"

If you wanna get the pants freaked off ya go and see it, its worth it. if horror movies freak you out, dont go and see it because you wont cope happy.gif

just like my girlfriend ahhaah smile.gif

post your review below, i wanna see if im just a bit more chicken than i realise happy.gif

What??? They remade The Thing? Or is the Kurt Russell version the remake?

Apparently the original spanish version of Quarintine is quite good.

They should have shot Cloverfield in that style.

There was the original way way back and the re make was in the early 80s I beleive.

bambis' dad died, got shot by the big mean hunter man.

ot. the movie only has about 2 mins of suspense and the rest is talking about it with other peoples....yawn. i sleep well. ohhh the door slammed shut! and something climbed under the sheets and he went flying through the air. lol

I have just viewed a downlo legit copy of this movie.

I must say, quite frightening and possibly the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. I loved how the movie "evolved" from innocent bump-in-the-night to Holy fuck ohnoes.gif .

I give this movie a 9 out of 10 burritos.

Watch The Haunting In Conneticut, that was quite good, also Dead Silence, The Descent.

Don't come crying to me if you sleep with the light on..........bunch of girls.......

Oh, and Drag me to Hell was directed by Sam Raimi, same guy that did the Evil Dead, which you will notice his tell tale style from the Evil Dead in the part where the medium summons the demon and tries to trap it in the goat.
RBNT
The Descent was good, the book was better.
Darkness
They have part 2 coming out.

If it's this one, then I would wait, as the movie was released in 2007, which apparently had a different ending which sucked, so the movie was eventualy picked up and released in 2009 with a better ending.

I've seen both the endings, The current theatrical one and the 2007 one. I found the 2007 one to be much more in tone with the story and quite disturbing. The theatrical one is waaaaayyyy too cliche'd and doesn't fit in with the atmosphere of the movie.

Apparently Steven Spielberg suggested the new ending.

Go figure, probably thought the movie needed more special effects.

Yes, well you can see what happened to the new Indiana Jones movie.

I'm just obtaining the Evil Dead Trilogy. ph34r.gif
