I can't see shit through all the fucking noise and blurr.

Like I said, I know it's hard for you die-hard photographers to get, I intentionally blur photos, intentionally shoot some of them on the most stupidly high ISO I can.. To me, photography is art, and the camera is my paintbrush, some turn out shit, some turn out quite different. And that's what I'm aiming for, If I wanted to see a photo of a dog or a car with 50 million lights positioned precisely around it, I'll go to a dog show or a car show. The way I see it, it's stupid taking photos of shit you see everyday in an everyday way. I break into abandoned asylums & train yards, visit derelict buildings that are falling down, dive down to 70m inside war ships to get photos of Japanese skulls and bones from world war 2, walk around the back streets of city's and talk to the junkies and homeless, trek through the jungles of PNG.... to me, it's not just about the photos, it's the stories that come with the photos, and I try to convey that in the way the photos are shot.

If you don't get it, you don't get it, that's cool, but don't sit there and be all arrogant about it. You come across like a fucking tool. Thanks for the 'constructive critique'.

Perhaps you should read what you have posted. You're the one who sounds arrogant. Even in your very first post you were just asking for someone to bite.

OT: I like no 23. Nice shot.

Note: I dont give a shit about how you are 'meant' to take photos, I do it my way and sometimes play with them in PS to give more of a feeling to the photo... I'm out to take interesting photos, not plain ones...

Your attitude to me comes across as 'I want to be an adventure/journalism/whatever photographer but I care too much about what people think of my lacking technical skills so i tell them this crap little story to excuse whatever reason made the shot fail', intentionally blur them, what crap man.

You speak of doing this stuff, and sure it's cool to do but there's NO reason you can't do this cool shit and produce a photo that's still technically excellent too, take a trip into the photojournalism awards man, geez, it's free too (when it was on).

Also there's no reason to be conceptual and again, take technically fantastic shots. Shit man no-ones gonna bag you if you say "I went here and did this but it's a shame i can't afford a fast prime and a body that has great high iso ability", well give you more kudos for doing what you want to do with what you have rather than being a gear junky and doing nothing with it, like me for instance.

There's some good shit in here and with the right gear and more importantly the right skills there's no reason why the shot of e.g. the skull, couldn't have been worth fifty grand to you! but instead it looks like a plastic skull that could be in a fucking bedroom aquarium for all we know! I didn't look at that and go WOW like I should have, learn the skills and with the cool places you're going you can really blow peoples socks off rather than using that crappy little cover story. Damn.

Point taken, maybe you're right.. thanks for taking the time to explain yourself. Your previous comment just shit me a bit as it didn't come across too constructive.

cheers,
