Think im gonna get a stagea when i go back to qld and drive it back down in feb
i wanna re rego it down here but is there anything special that i need to do cos its an import?

Nah nothin special. Just a vehicle inspection for about $50, in to service tas and away u go.
If u buy it in QLD and change it into ur name there then take it to Tas, u'll have to pay stamp duty twice so see if the previous owner will let u drive it on their rego until u get it to tas.

The inspection will cost you $77. If it is already mod plated, it'll just be noted down here.
My TRX was engineered (Vic) but not plated, got rego down here, went to Transport and showed them all the paperwork for engineering, and they sent me a blue plate in the mail.
My R31 was mod plated already, just passed the rego check and all was good.
The Stagea was stock, and we were first owners in Australia, so it was just complianced and rego'd.
The Elgrand was mod plated and NSW rego when we got it, got is inspected down here and Tassie rego.

yeah thats awesome thanks, it wont be till feb next year but i thought i better ask b4 i buy it, could have been a nasty surprise
