Looks legit, prob stolen and dumped ages ago.

I don't think you could salvage it either....
Daniel180
yarr no way you could salvage it, just wondering if it is indeed an actual r/t...kinda sad really
Mr Mopar
Impossible to tell if its real from those pics. Thats a casting number not an engine number and isn't all that helpful.

A pic of the chassis no or compliance plate would be needed. That said if it is an R/T its a low spec one- standard diff and fuel tank. There used to be a very rough limelight coloured chager marked up as an R/T with a Chrysler by Chrysler grill up here... wonder if its that one.

I'll post a link on my Mopar forum.. someone on there might be able to tell us more.
Mr Mopar
Duck tail chrome and the duck tail itself would be worth something.......

Can't say I've ever seen a C x C VIP Wagon- VIP yes.. C x C yep but never both tags and not on a wagon.. is it the later swoopy style like the charger.. or the squarer shape like the hardtop in my avatar?

It wouldn't really surprise me- CAL did some funny things.. esp toward the end. Theres even a few vals getting around with mitsubishi badges, apparantly as they ran out of stock at the end of production.

Arrgh........always painful to see them end up like this

Mr Mopar is spot on - the only real way to tell if it was an R/T is the chassis number (located on inner guard towards the front of the car on passenger side -as per attached circled area)
Still looks to have some salvageable parts that are worth $$ on e-bay

1. Ducktail chrome (especially the curved end pieces (eyebrows)
2. The rear taillights (try to keep the pins attached where they attach to the body - if they are still there)
3. Bumpers if straight and not too rusty
4. Interior is probably long gone but instruments (even instrument housing) radios etc if it was an R/T
5. I assume the grill is long gone as well
Mr Mopar
Tail lights look a bit buggered.. like the've been kicked.

Nice charger mate.. is it up here?
NOS440
what a shame...

it even could have been an RT. its an S block, has the flip fuel filler and the the stickers, but then again, anyone can mock up a charger. if only i was in the NT. i would have tracked it down and took it home for some garden ornamentation

Hey mate everything is rusted out on this car, firewall is completely gone as are whats left of the dash and any interior. As the car was upside down we were trying to read the Chassis number but couldnt quite get to it and the grill was smashed up as were the lights but the bumpers didn't seem to badly damaged. I will investigate further next time i'm out there and try get the chassis number and check the condition of the ducktail stuff even though i think it too is rusted out

Cheers

It could be an RT but it no longer has it's original engine. I think S blocks were VJ onwards and were mostly mated to a torqueflite gearbox. If you could get pics of the front and what is left of the interior that might help too.

Shame I am not week on week off up there anymore, would have gone for a drive smile.gif
Mr Mopar
Hey Chris.. hah hah... your a Noob!
