Hey all,
wanting to know if anyone knows of links or answers to swapping a RB25DEt and manual into a R32 GTS25 (non-turbo & auto). main question is can i run original ecu with the manual (still using na motor)? can i put all turbo inlet and outlet manifolds on without swapping ecu? or should i try hooking up the haltech e11v2 with turbo running gear on na motor?
eventually will put in turbo motor, but just want to have some fun now.

if your running the na engine wiht the manual box, u can use the original ecu. if your running the na engine+turbo youl have to swap the ecu to suit, maybe the loom also (not sure bout skylines if u do)
You will need a new loom, there is a dood in QLD that does them. The r32 main power pickup is different to that of the 33, hence new loom. Get a front cut brah, only way to do it. Speak to Dave at HTT too, I believe he has done this swap.
Do it once do it properly:
RB25 turbo halfcut (you have?) bolt it in using 20 engine mounts and modified gearbox mounts
custom tailshaft
change the clutch while its out (will prb be fked if its a halfcut)
loom done by the fella from QLD as ken suggested
Intercooler pipework will need minor modifications from rb20 style
speedo sensor if it bothers you not having one

who does these looms u speak of?
motor in R32 is a RB25DE, with a auto. i have a whole wreck (R33 coupe - turbo & manual) to use. do i need to change loom if i'm using a Haltech e11v2? or can i plug and tune with old loom? car is going to be straight track car, so can use aftermarket gauges if needed.

Pretty reasonably priced too mang.
if its the guy I am thinking about, I think he is in HPI mags, does motor to car looms also

I just put an RB25DET into an 86 Z31 200zr (originally rb20 redtop nics)
as far as the gearbox wiring goes you wont need any of it for track use, you've got a neutral safety switch (works fine disconnected) a speed sensor (if you really want you can wire this into your speedo but its not necessary, and if you do the ECU takes the speed readings from the Speedo gauge to initiate fuel cut at 180) and again works totally fins disconnected. and the last plug is your reverse lights, also not needed.
as far as the turbo stuff, I'd imagine you'll need the ECU change and turbo loom, there is 10 tonnes of info if your a little wire savvy on how to put RB's into anything...but my car.
the wiring can be completed in an afternoon...
i don't have all the links but i did print out like all the doc's for reference.
