Ok so my old coolmaster 550w ultra is on its last legs and I need another PSU.

Question is:

Go another coolmaster (this time wanting 650w+ at least. Anything with 2 x 6pin PCI-E as I need them for my 9800GTX) or go something like Antec?

I don't want to spend a million dollars and noise isn't really a factor as it's in the study and has a big CPU fan on it anyway.

SO!

Lets set the price to like $150 max and gogogogogo tell me your ideas.

Seasonic, Corsair and PC Power & Cooling are all high tier.

Corsair have some shocking failure rates on their PSU's.

I'm running an Antec True Power 750w. runs my system perfectly fine and still has enough headroom for when i add another 4890

the Vantec ION2+ is also a very good "value for money" psu.

antec or corsair.. get a 750w.. having that little bit more never hurt. Better to have more than less.

750w are around $170..

I want over 80% efficiency too if I can find it.

Corsair TX-750 looks good but I reallllly want to keep under $150. If I have to stick to 650w then so be it. I've survived on 550w so far:P

The Corsair HX-620 ATX seems orrite for around $150

extra $20 wouldn't hurt the bank..

Tell that to my finance manager (fiance)

I was going to recommend you get the 'Earthwatts' power supplies, as they have to achieve greater than 80% efficiency at all voltages on all rails to be given the 'green' tick.
