I installed a tacho in my '88 hilux but the ignition system sends a double pulse i think so the tacho doesn't read correctly.
Does anyone have any solutions to this problem or has anyone encountered this problem and found a way around it??
Thanks
Tom

you need a vdo ratio box, it modifies the signal to suit as its adjustable, and pricey lol

perhaps there is some type of diode or resistor you wire inline to reduce the pulses by half? try looking on a hilux specific forum and you may find a better answer.
