Hi Guys, Gals. As some know - I work as a rider trainer in Tas. I've owned a bike shop in Brizzy and have been into bikes for over 20 years. I've completd too many TAFE related courses to mention and as a result of dealing with new riders almost daily, many coming up against same issues - i've just launched a small business to help ppl out. I dont plan on getting rich from this, so i'm keeping costs as low as possible.
The Name of Business is Motorcycle Inspection Services Tasmania. What I am offering - If you are looking to buy a bike or scooter and don't really know too much about them, then for $99 (plus any significant travel) I'll meet the vendor on site, go over the bike with literally a fine tooth comb, write up a 10 page report on condition, compare currently advertised bikes of same gene pool, perform a revs / reg check and also provide a valuation. IF you want to take it a step further - i'll also add in the negotiations side of it, where you should easily recoup the cost of buying the report.
The name has been registered and ABN is now on its way.
What i wanted to ask you guys, does this sound something that you would use(when you first started out?)? I know a co in Sydney doing same thing for $199 + travel and they've been in operation for 20 years.
I there anything i'm missing for the new rider ?? Is there something you can think of that I should be offering to clients that i'm missing?? Any assistance would be grateful.
Thanks Simon.
