Nice bike but LOL @ smashes 1000's... I hope that was intended as a joke!
m.o.d.aus
Its common that 600 will beat 1000's from 0-150 or there abouts.
As the power to weigh ratio is better.
But most 1000 will pull back after that as the 600 run out of puff so to speak.
But thats just a general thing.
Hence why 600 are better street bikes as they will beat anything to the speed limit wink.gif

Nice Gixxer....

yes very true 600s can be thrown into corners alot harder too... the roads arent big enough to use 1000s full potential

get off the drugs mate.. it's pretty obvious you have limited knowledge of bikes.
___________

as for cornering, due to the extended length of a 1000cc (fork rake, and swingarm) and wider rear tyre results in a slower change of direction. a 600 won't corner harder or faster, it only has the advantage in consecutive direction changes. fit a 180/55 rear tyre to a 1000 and there goes that advantage.

hahahaha i assume u all own bikes or is this a complete theory argument

Had the '03 man, nice bike. can vouch for the beating the 1000's on the road anyway. mine had sprocket changes but racing against a mate through highway traffic (legally of course) even he said mine pulled well in sixth gear. nice bike all the same. like the look of them over my '08 600
